Subject: Invitation to Tribe and Peoples SPRING COUNTRYSIDE FAIR 4 - 5 June 2011
Hi Shirley -
I woke up this morning and realised that I hadn't passed on the Invitation and poster for our revival of 'Countryside Comes to Town'. Basically, after the event didn't happen last year due to cuts, and Parks & Nature reorganisation, the Park Friends pledged to bring the Community Nature weekend gathering back into Cannon Hill Peoples Park.
Whilst some things will still be connecting with the Nature Centre, the main Fair gathering will be around the Red Gra, and new Natural Play area which your grandchildren discovered the other week.
Please find the attached publicity flyer for the SPRING COUNTRYSIDE FAIR 2011 on 4-5 June.
But Shirley's Tribe can be sure of a friendly home for the weekend, with Brum Bats, bird and bat box workshop from Ward End, veg and fruit printing, creative tables etc as well as groups going off finding bugs, water beetles, acorns from the nearby woodland and river ford.
More news to follow - and could I put in a few lines about Shirley's Tribe?
peace and birds on the wing -
Tony fox, Park friends
Cannon Hill Peoples Park
